WantZone interactions are online. Even with the benefit of a profile and/or feedbacks, you should use precautions as you would meeting anyone for the first time.
Always use common sense and follow these simple rules:
- Insist on a public meeting place with plenty of people around
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going
- Take your cell phone along if you have one
- Consider meeting someone for the first time with a friend
- Trust your instincts

You can avoid scammers by following these common-sense rules:
- Deal locally and insist on meeting in person
- Never wire funds using Western Union or Moneygrams
- Fake cashier checks and money orders are common. Banks will cash them and will hold you responsible.
- WantZone does not and is not involved in any transactions between consumers (people who post Wants) and providers (people who contact consumers). Transactions between consumers and providers include any type of payments and escrow services. WantZone does not offer buyer protection, service protection, seller certification or any transaction guarantees between consumers and providers.
- Do not give out any financial information such as bank account numbers, social security numbers or any online accounts.
- Avoid deals that involve shipping or escrow services. Remember, WantZone does not guarantee your transactions between parties.

If you suspect that a Want posting on WantZone may be part of a scam not appropriate you can flag that posting by clicking on "Flag Inappropriate" located in the upper right hand corner of the posting. You can also email us at abuse@WantZone.com with the details of the Want posting.
